Clothes Valet Stands

Most clothing valets on the market are intended for men’s suits, however there are a few designed for women, and even some for children! A clothing valet can be particularly handy in an office setting or for the individual who wears a suit day in and day out; or for someone who likes to choose clothing the night before and have it ready to go. They range in style and function from the most basic “one legged”suit valet that holds jacket and pants, to furniture-quality pieces that are not only functional for clothing but enhance the room where they’re located.

Generally made of solid wood with cherry, mahogany, walnut and natural finishes, a clothes valet stand is compatible with most any décor, but if you’re looking for a particular style, such as Mission or Japanese, they are available also.

Prices range from under $100 to around $200 and within that range, features evolve from the basic simple solid wood standing valet to valets that offer additional useful features such as coin trays or drawers, tie and belt rod, electronics charging station with surge protector, shoe racks, and chairseat with storage (also known as a chair valet). Look for a pants bar that is PVC covered so that pants are held securely in place and don’t slip off.

Some simple assembly may be involved.

Rowallan of Scotland

Rowallan of Scotland is known for "style that doesn't quit, modern day functionality, quality craftsmanship and materials, and price points that won't break the bank." Company founders honed their craft in the hallowed halls of the Glasgow School of Art where the operating philosophy was that beauty and utility are not mutually exclusive and should be intelligently incorporated into every design. That continues to be the philosophy of Rowallan of Scotland.

If you're looking for colorful jewelry boxes, Rowallan is a great place to start. Also, if your need is for travel jewelry containers, many Rowallan jewelry keeps or boxes are designed for just that purpose and carefully separate and protect your jewelry from harm in the process of travel, and yet when home, can serve equally well as dresser top jewelry boxes.

Quality materials such as leather, bonded leather, wood, and polished lacquer make up the various jewelry boxes. Like the little black dress, a Rowallan jewelry box is imbued with a quiet sense of chic that's always in style and always highly functional.

Various Rowallan products have been recently featured in "Paula Deen" magazine, "Martha Stewart Living" and "Travel Goods Showcase". An informal survey of on-line reviews of Rowallan jewelry boxes or "keeps" as they are quaintly known, shows extremely high marks for satisfaction with quality, design and price.

Rowallan is designed and distributed by Checker Leather Ltd., of Kilmaurs, in Ayrshire, Scotland and continues the generations of leather craftsmen dating back to 1946 with L.W. Pattison. Checker Leather is also the proud recipient of the one of the UK's biggest awards; The Queens Award for Enterprise in the Category "International Trade" of 2005.

Quoting the Rowallan company: "The beauty of our designs is more than skin deep — with our Scottish heritage we wouldn't have it any other way — all have clean, classic lines and organizational features designed to help make our on-the-go, modern lifestyle a little bit easier."
